[Slick Rick]
OK, party people in the house
You're about to witness something you've never witnessed before
Yes, it's the original human beat box, Doug E. Fresh
And his partner, the grand wizard, MC Ricky D, D
And that's me in the place to be
And we gonna show you how we do it for '85, kickin' live, alright
Because, um, I've got a funny feeling, um
you're all sick of all these crap rappers
Bitin' their rhymes because um they're back-stabbers
But when it comes to me and my friend Doug Fresh here
There is no competition 'cause we are the best, yeah
But let's impress which we prove
And ya all will realize that we are the move
So listen close so you all don't miss
As we go a little somethin' like this
Hit it
Ah yeah
You know what

Verse Of The Day
Vakill - Cry You A River
1st Verse.
The moment you squeezed the trigger, I felt dissed
How the hell could you be so selfish, the current events that led up to this moment
You masqueraded your death wish, you ain't think I had the mental capacity
To comprehended your troubles and theft ness
So subtle I'm breathless, Imma be just like you was my old model
That was before you murked my best friend, big cousin and role model
Left my soul hollow, now I hold bottles of E and J
And drown myself in this alcoholic slow sorrow
And I find myself not taking sips, but whole swallows
And my outlook on life's meaning is so shallow
You led by example
Your life was the blueprint I was supposed to go follow
Back to fishing due to the fact you missing
At a crossroads 'cause at the wake of your untimely demise
You sent me on a backwards mission
Shit, I only pray that Allah has mercy on your soul upon his acquisition
I can't help but find it suitable cursing
You fucked up a beautiful person
And still on judgment day I pray your sole gets acquitted
Without question I'll always love you, I just hate the horrible act you committed

Chorus
[Hawk]

Everything's my way, I par-le
Everyday all day, ain't no way
Boys can't stop as i slide through your neighborhood
Chop chop chop, headed straight to the top
I only play to win -- bout to close up shop
Showstoppin dead end, pimp the pen once again
Peep the message I send
Take these levels that you devils can't comprehend
Big bout it Benz -- as I floss through the south
Big blue lens -- now whatcha talkin about?
Close yo' mouth -- as I settle all scores
Scream and shout -- my similes and metaphors
Mansion doors -- I contstantly close
All you hoes -- go and take off your clothes
Lord knows -- ain't no time to play
Commence to fuckin and-a suckin on the H.A.W.K.
Chorus

Verse Of The Day
Gym Class Heroes - Everydays Forecast
First Verse.
You think you know, but you have no idea
This is the diary of a breathing onomanopia
Now here's another broken link for anyone who thinks my life's together
I rock a raincoat despite the pleasant weather
God's placed a permanent dark cloud above my head
But he was nice enough to loan me a holy umbrella
Well thank ya fella,
How considerate
I'm the illegitimate son of accident-prone degenerates
Today's forecast partly cloudy with a good chance of rain
So I wear my sarcasm badge proudly and
Flash a devilish grin
That'll make the most masculine Men skeptical of his existence
And when the rain begins, I take a seat to retire and admire the spectacle
From a distance
For instance, there was this cat the other day shootin me ice grills
But when I looked, he looked the other way
Now any other day
Wouldn't let this type of shit bother me
Today it was enough to make my lucky charms soggy
So finally I stepped to him
Kindly disrespected him
Looked him dead in the eyes and analyzed how it effected him
He broke down in tears talkin bout how God neglected him

Verse Of The Day - The World Is....
Blu & Exile
The World Is....(Below The Heavens)
album: Below The Heavens
[Verse 2]
Yo, somebody once told me that I'm already in hell
Freedom's a state of mind it's just a heart of me's in hell
I freed my slaved mind so the part of me's in hell
So even when it's hard to breathe a part of me inhales
So pardon me...
you gotta try hard to be yourself...
cause you cant go to heaven being anybody else
I was raised by a reverand yet the lessons didnt help
had to get em for myself
I was told hell is hot I had to fell it for myself
so I left home
as a young child smiling as I stepped on
facin a world butt naked without my wea-pon
I lost my smile and exchange put a vest on
now that my premature stress is gone
I got problems to face as a man
I was told either you stand or you fall
long as you know that when you walk yo holding hands as a god
that alone can turn the dark
into a walk in the park
I only talk from my heart
so open yours when your listening
every man has his own heaven
the difference is the way that he envisions it so....
if you make your heaven pictureless
by the time you die youll be drifting in an imageless field
so fill your heaven full of blessing thoughts
thats real
you could stress it or just let it walk
I got a question if a man can make his own heaven
then can he make his path to get to it too
I only spit fluid truth
and I spit it for the listenas so Im spittin to you
you say it's hell I say it's bullshit were getting through
just think about it any man has his own heaven
but you gotta go through hell to be a man first
and understand 1st hell is what you choose to call the present
thats why youre going through what I just choose to call a stressin
to tell you fools the truth
I don't feel it's what I'm destined
you can call it hell but brah...
I can say Im below the heavens

Verse Of The Day - whutduzFMstand4?
Artist: PackFM
Song: whutduzFMstand4
Album: whutduzFMstand4?
Verse 2:
Fuck Magazines, they only give Five Mics For Money
I paid dues you faggots don't make, you Fake Moves
If you refuse the Five Minutes that it takes to sign me
I could move a Few Mill, just put me where the fans could Find Me
I'm Far More advanced than them punchlines you checkin' for
My verse could have a cancer cure - " But where the Fuckin' Metaphors?"
First Minute you Feelin' Me, next minute I'm hated
Gettin' Fan Mail now, so I guess I Finally Made it
But that don't say who I am - That's AM, I'm FM
I fiend for microphones like me and Rakim's best friend
"So what does FM stand for?!"
I don't know - it's hard to say
But none of y'all could fuck wit the man that my Father Made
These lines designed to part the way From Me and mine
Thinkin' I ain't here to stay, you must be out your Freakin' Mind
This Freestyle Movement is brutal, but it's beautiful
So all y'all sayin' Fuck Me - the Feeling's Mutual...

In The Rotation
Water - Kooley High ft. Lazurus & Edgar Allen Floe
The highlight of the Summer Sessions EP tops & begins my list...This song is classic 9th seriously. This rekindled my love for 9th's soulful production. The stratches made the song even stronger by introducing the artist with sample. Shit is just crazy. Also make sure to check out Kooley High because they are the future.
Be Like - M1 Platoon ft. Carlitta Durand
Another one of 9th's finding is outta DC, M1 Platoon. Them dude be hype as fuck. The mostable is Snoopay & Big Chopps but all 5 MCs are good. They have their own sort of style, not trying to beat LB or follow their footsteps. Would be dope to see a LB/M1 collabo. That would be hype. Another this track feature the one and only Carlitta Durand with the singing & 9th on the boards.
Can You Hear Me - Astonish
The self proclaimed"Rookie Of The Year" gave us great reason to co-sign that. Astonish delivers a marvelous performance on this song and his new EP called For Now Until Forever. This song touches many subject. Astonish speaks on grown men doing the chicken noodle soup and what has radio hip hop gone to. Very brave for a newcomer especially as his single.
You Should Know - Tanya Morgan ft. Naledge
TM City! really shined with their newest release, Tanya Morgan Is A Rap Group mixtape. The most anticapated song least in my mind on that project is the Naledge assisted, You Should Know. "You think you know but have no idea/ we're talking cheaper then a bed from IKEA"
Nalegde puts down a great verse though he could have done better. Anyway Donwill & Von Pea give great spits as well.
Do You - Danny!
I'm not a fan of Danny's lyrical performance though it is getting better but his production is top notch. And this song is example of that. The hook is extremely catchy. Its totally abstract & soulful in it's own way. Watch out for Danny's new album, And I Love HER.
Barbershop - Murs & 9th Wonder ft. Big Pooh
My fade stay tight. But anyway this is perhaps my favorite song of Murray's Revenge or off any Murs LP. Pooh did it top notch & Murs entertained with his witty punchlines. This song is the shit so check it.
I Must Love You - Guilty Simpson
It was so hard picking a single song off Guilty's new LP. But that shit is bumping. After a few more listens and gettin adjusted. It might be the album of the year. Anyway this song speaks to Maliz. I felt like this a multiple occasion. Anyway everything from the hook to the verses to the concept is nice about this song. So big upps to Guilty for dropping a gem.
Who's That? - LMNO & Kev Brown
The single of LMNO & Kev Brown's new LP, Selective Hearing. Another gem that dropped last tuesday. I liked the video & loved the song. Kev put down some souldful heat on this LP. And surprisingly LMNO rode the beats perfectly. He finally is showing some lyrical growth.
Paper - Pacific Division ft. TiRon
I dont know much about Pac Div as of yet. I just know this song is hot. Another song talking bout a gold digging women. They impressed me with this song and probably the reason I've been check all they got on they myspace. Anyway check the video of this song on the previous post & stay tuned because your sure to hear more from Pac Div.
Love & Revolution (S.Raw remix) - Silent Knight
The artist who crafted the 3rd best underground album of the year in my opinion dropped another album in 08 with remixes of exclusive and songs off his debut Hunger Strike.
Silent Knight is another underrated, unheard of MC that deserves shine.

What..What Did 9th Say?
Okay today i was thinking about 9th's new album, The Wonder Years. I thought about how it was delayed and why. Well Look....
February 6th, 2008 | Author: Jake Paine SOURCENot many people realize that 9th Wonder is label-mates with Cam'ron, Gucci Mane and Shawty-Lo. The North Carolina producer remained with Asylum Records, a division of Atlantic Records and Warner Brothers, after Little Brother's Atlantic debut, 2005's The Minstrel Show.
Although he released last year's The Dream Merchant Volume 2 on the Florida-independent Six-Hole Records, the producer has been hard at work for over the last year on The Wonder Years, the release with major distribution. Despite singles, cover art, pre-order sales and numerous campaigns that the album would be releasing in late January or early February, 9th told HipHopDX that it's still incomplete.
"Me and [Erykah Badu] are gonna do a record for [The Wonder Years]. With her album, she has a lot of stuff goin' on," said 9th. "Travis McCoy [of Gym Class Heroes] is also somebody who said, 'I gotta do a record for it.' He'll have a joint on there. It's called 'Winnie Cooper.' [Laughs] I understand what it means now. I understand where Timbaland, Pharrell and Kanye and Dr. Dre...I understand what they understand - some of. It's nothing you can explain to a normal producer."
The producer elaborated further on perfecting his craft. "I'm learning more about producing. I got too much into making beats, and not putting my all into producing a record. I think that's what separates beat-makers from producers."
Although there is no exact date in sight for the album, 9th Wonder insists that the wait is worth it. "My best friend told me that The Wonder Years is the best record he's heard me produce so far. It's R&B and Hip Hop together. The records are very big, and they sound very big. They show growth. You can hear the growth between The Dream Merchant [Volume 2] and The Wonder Years. The beats sound epic. It fills the room up. That's what The Wonder Years is. It's a cookout record."
In addition to the artists 9th Wonder mentioned, The Wonder Years features Styles P, Jean Grae and The Justus League.
So 9th said that he delayed the album to finish up some songs & to collab with freakin Travis McCoy. Seriously Travis is a beast and does no one else see that? Travis on this & Kidz In The Hall's LP. Anyway he doing some more shit with Badu & supposedly Q-Tip, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Jean Grae, Styles P, Little Brother, Murs, Carlitta & Buckshot. Hopefully the lesser known Big Treal, M1 Platoon, Kooley High, The Allies & etc. Get some feature on the album. But to wishfully think. It would be great if he got Naledge on s solo song. That'll be nice but anyway Thw Wonder Years should be dope as hell. I can't wait to hear it. Also 9th got new albums coming with Jean Grae, Murs & supposedly Sean Price. 9th Wonder became my favorite producer since i heard There You Go & Water off The Summer Session EP (DOPE!) which were like nails in a half buried coffin. So expect to hear alot about 9th. Well watch out for 9th & his new label. Here's some exiting music.....

Verse Of The Day: Keep Off The Lawn
Artist: Aesop Rock
Album: None Shall Pass
Song: Keep Off the Lawn
Most copious
Rain soak the opiates
Notice how the phobias appropriately procreate
Woke up with a ghost farm focused on his groceries
When they aren't telling stories, they are multiplying grossly on the lawn
Let 'em loiter, never let 'em spawn
The apparitions have been drinking this water for too long
So when they gather by the birdbath in the morning he will tell 'em
“I mean no disrespect, but you have all outstayed your welcome.”
Interesting, in a sense..
Interrupt commiserating phantoms on your picket fence
How quickly they will lift their heads
And breathe an ultimatum like, “The dead don't argue.”
Said, "You're living by the bayonet, but how alive are you?"
Shit, 'A' is all juice and bad etiquette
Elbows on the table, lobster bibbing on the ready-set
He said, “But how alive?”
“I don't know homey, you decide.”
(“No, you decide.”)
Fine..

Random Ax In The Jam With Max Heat!
Random Ax
The dopeness of this group can't be measured. I was excited bout the eMC and shit but this is crazy. Oh by the way, I was some what disappointed with that eMC LP but thats for another time. Sean Price & Guilty Simpson beasting together over a Black Milk beat. Can't get no better then that (Unless you heard about the Royce/Elzhi LP). But yeah their album should be some crazyiness. Cant wait!
Their first song together on one track, Run off Guilty Simpson's Ode To The Ghetto.

Believe It.......Saigon
Seriously this dude been teasing us with this album for about a year...yet we've got a single & a few snippets of dude's debut. Mann MC like him, Elzhi, MC Juice & etc....be making me jealous & sick. Tauntin us with their overwhelming talent but anyway hopefully it'll be well worth the wait. While Elzhi's debut LP, titled The Feed seems to draw closer & closer, Jean & 9th's leaked LP seems to be coming as well & Juice is releasing shit with his live band. Saigon seems to be the more evasive one. Hopefully we'll get some info on this but until then enjoy this.

Supastition talking about his new album....
Lately I've been hard at work on this new Kam Moye project. I finally came up with a title for the album and it will be entitled 'Splitting Image'. The title is a play on the word 'spitting image' because I'm still visually the spitting image of Supastition but I'm splitting away from the typical songs and subject matter that I've been known for. I've gotten emails from people saying they didn't understand why I changed my name. Those people are guilty of skimming through my words instead of actually reading them. I NEVER said that I was officially changing my name, just going to record a project under my real name. If Zev Love X can be MF Doom, Viktor Vaughn, and King Geedorah... If Kool Keith can be Dr Octagon and Dr Doom... Can I put out a record out as... myself? lol. Just think of it as an alias... that's not really an alias. I've heard rumors that I don't have rights to use my name anymore and all types of craziness. Don't believe any of that!
Moving on... I'm pleased with alot of the music that I have recorded up to this point for the record. I don't want to give out too much info on it because song titles, producers, and all of that can change. I'm not making 'Splitting Image' to exclusively appeal to the same fans who listen to Supastition albums but I'm sure there will be a few who will love it and those who will dislike it! There's alot of conceptual songs on it and I'm speaking on things that aren't really the norm for a hip hop record (well at least the ones that I've done in the past). I'm addressing topics like interracial dating (being from a small town.. u know how that goes), depression & suicide, racial stereotypes, becoming a teenage parent and the mistakes you make (I was a father at the age of 16), and many other things. Minus one song (which still has content), there isn't much random rapping going on. After meeting people from all walks of life, I felt like I needed to create music that could reach those same people who don't feel like there is music that speaks directly to 'them'. I don't expect everyone to be able to relate to the album but if one song speaks on your personal experiences and you can relate then I feel like I did what I had to do. I would hate to even label it conscious because this is my personal life but I'm sure some will deem it as being that way since all music has to be categorized nowadays. It's not really an 'underground' album so to speak. If you have hundreds of preconceived ideas of what hip hop or betteryet 'my' music should sound like then you might wanna skip this one! No silly labels of it being 'grown man', 'conscious', 'the best shit since Illmatic', or none of that... No anger, no venting, and no rapping about how bad the state of hip hop is. It's my personal thoughts, opinions, and experiences with music behind it.
Okay I can see people reading this right now saying "man... fuck all the content...who did the beats????".... haha. Let me speak on the producer and guest situation so we can get this out of the way. Once again, this is NOT an official Supastition album so please don't expect to see the same producers and guests this time or you are setting yourself up for disappointment. I reached out to alot of new producers this time around including a few that I have worked with in the past. Some producers are extremely busy, some don't make beats that would fit the vibe, and some I just don't work with anymore. I know we are in the age of 20+ guest appearances and 10 producers on each album but I want the main focus to be on the substance & content rather than the guests. There will be some bigger names on the record but only because they fit the concept of the song and not because they just 'spit a hot 16'. When I started my label (Reform School), my main focus was to not do the norm or follow the 'standards' of the industry. Not so much to be different but to do what I truly wanted to do without someone else tampering with the ideas. Sure it may cost me some popularity (the 'wee bit' I have... lol) and fans but at the end of the day I will be able to say that I'm pleased with everything that I've done. That's one reason why I have the utmost respect for artists such as The Roots and Outkast because each time they aim to step outside of the box and encourage individuality in music (in my opinion). So will people like 'Splitting Image' and accept it for what it is? Who knows... but when it's all said and done I can say that I spoke on things that meant the most to me and hopefully to someone who has been through what I've experienced. Overall I think so far it's an outstanding album. And after this album... the Supastition & Illmind album will be officially in the works.

Verse Of The Day
The Pharcyde - Runnin'
2nd Verse.
There comes a time in every mans life when he's gotta
handle up on his own Can't depend on friends to
help you in a sqeeze, please they got problems of their
own Down for the count on seven chickens shits don't
get to heaven til they faced these fears in these fear
zones Used to get jacked back in high school I played
it cool just so some real shit won't get full blown Being
where I'm from they let the smoke come quicker than an
evil red-neck could lynch a helpless colored figure And
as a victim I invented low-key til the keyhole itself got
lower than me So I stood up and let my free form form
free I don't sweat it I let the bullshit blow in the breeze
in other words just freeze

Album So Dope,You Can Play It On Random!
Word.
Nicolay's album "Here" is that dope,You can play it on Random!
Every song on this album is on point.
If you've never heard it,You suck at life,But thats the beauty of life,It's never too late for a change.
So,Stop sucking at life and listen to it!
And after listening to it,Play it on Random!
It changes the feel of an album when playing it on random after listening to it in sequential order a few times,Sometimes for the worse,But also sometimes for the better.
Try it with this album, Won't be disappointed.

Common speaks on The Rev. Jeremiah Wright situation
As the media firestorm swirled around Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ retired pastor Jeremiah Wright, his relationship with Barack Obama, and his controversial statements, Common felt Wright was being misrepresented.
Common grew up in the same church and shared his thoughts with Eurweb.com.
"He never really was against white people or another race. It was more against an establishment that was oppressing people. I think we all can see that this country has problems and a lot of it starts in the political system," Common explained.
"What I picked up from being in the pews … was messages of love," recalls Common. "Anything that was going against that love he would acknowledge and expose."
Common blamed the giant media wave around Wright on a conservative effort to discredit Obama.
"I think that's what American politics does."
"He's been a preacher that's helped raise one of the greatest political figures in the world and, hopefully, the next President," Common said, then added with a laugh, "He's also raised one of the great rappers in the world!"

Hieroglyphics - Fantasy Island
First Verse [Opio]
I move with no fear cuz I smooth disappeared
they say that fool isn't here, he's sipping brew on a pier
while I'm in your boo ear spilling beer like a tear drop on her sheer
top
disrespecting her, the way I talk
and yet it's quite effective, it's makin her so hot
I'm ploting on rocking her boat
Put my yacht in her throat
that's an option for Op, is it logical though? (hmm?)
that's a question for Plato or Socrates
my philosophies are in harmony with the armory that march the streets of
???
ignoring the impossible I move like propellers on a helicopter do
so jump I'm ch-ch-choppin you
you are not a factor or obstacle or a mobster or a boss of any facet
when you see me smashin, don't start flashin and blastin, cuz we
bulletproof, who you askin?
bought my ski mask in aspen, assassin, desperado jumpin out the
eldorado
the way I use this mic, like a ri-lo, bussin hi-lo's but god knows my
mottos I follow
universal law, nigga god would curse us all, a meteor could strike,
while we shoppin at the mall
you thinkin life's a joke, then you probably gonna fall, and obviously
small-minded

Sean Price - 60 Bar Dash
1st Verse
Jump back, kiss myself
Sean Price used to pump crack, get that wealth
Number one ranking taken, I'mma get that belt
Not a card dealer but deal with the cards that dealt
Yo, I do this for my so fly, so high niggaz
African-butt-scratching-bowtie niggaz
Ben Vereen/Chicken George, Fiddler On the Roof niggaz
Yo, I'm nice but I shoot niggaz
Ehh yo, Superfly Snooka jumping from the turnbuckle
Smoking on some shit you never smoked on before, fuck you
Yo, asked a bitch for some brains she said never
Last time I licked your balls caught high blood pressure
Evel Knievel hot wheels jumping like Duke boys (yeeeehaaah!)
Posdnous, Mase and Trugoy (what?)
Plug one in your neck and plug two in your chest
Turn around and plug three in your rest
Yo. Pop clip and then dump; hop, skip and then jump
Backseat of the car, hot chick in the front
Fuck y'all rappers, all y'all gay
Tryna sell rap and crack - John Forte

Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you, Kooley High!
Bio:
Kooley High is the product of five friends meeting on the bricks of NC State University with a passion for hip-hop. What started out as a hip-hop club, founded by 3/5 of the group, soon turned into an interest to make fresh music with each other. With the three emcees, Charlie Smarts, Rapsody, and Tab-One, and two producers, Foolery and The Sinopsis, this group plans to further establish the "North Carolina sound". Hip-hop isn’t new to these guys, both Charlie Smarts and Tab-One are also in the live, roots driven hip-hop band Inflowential, and Rapsody (you might have heard her on the interludes of 9th Wonder’s - The Dream Merchant Vol. 2) is a part of 9th Wonder’s "It’s A Wonderful World" record label. With the guidance of Justus League founders 9th Wonder and Cesar Comanche, Kooley High plans to turn NC into the new m.e.c.c.a. for hip-hop
My Thoughts:
Kooley High, one of the newest underground act hailing from the state of NC. With the backing and co-signing of 9th Wonder. They must have some that he likes and after hearing their newest project you can certainly see. The Summer Sessions EP is one of the most refreshing taste of hip hop in 08. This EP has everything a music lover would love. Lyrics, Smooth, Concepts, Laughs & some head nodding beats. All the songs have their own style and concept. Production wise the 8-Track EP is split with 3 beats each for Foolery & Sinopsis. With the remaining two by 9th. The most notable song is Water produced by 9th featuring Lazurus & Edgar Allen Floe. I can find no dents in the armor K. High carry proudly through the streets of NC. Rapsody the pack of dynamite you might have heard on Dream Merchant 2. Tab-One who is also in the lived hip hop band, Inflowtential. Charlie Smarts also in that live band and was featured on Chaundon's Carnage LP. Foolery & Sinopsis the two beatsmiths who showcased their marvelous stylings on the EP and also producing songs for 9th's other prodigies, M1 Platoon. But together, Sinopsis, Foolery, Rapsody, Tab-One & Charlie Smarts create Kooley High a group that will soon be a household name.

Kooley High Interview....They are the future
Kooley High is the product of five friends meeting on the bricks of NC State University with a passion for hip-hop. What started out as a hip-hop club, founded by 3/5 of the group, soon turned into an interest to make beautiful music with each other. With the three emcees, Charlie Smarts, Rapsody, and Tab-One, and two producers, Foolery and The Sinopsis, this group plans to further establish the "North Carolina sound". Hip-hop isn’t new to these guys, both Charlie Smarts and Tab-One are also in the live, roots driven hip-hop band Inflowential, and Rapsody is a part of 9th Wonder’s "It’s A Wonderful World" record label. Rhymehouse.com had the chance to kool out with members of the group to talk about hip hop, the current state of females in the genre today, and what hip hop means to them...
Rhymehouse: Waddup Wolfpack! Thanks for sitting down with Rhymehouse.com. For those that don't know can you tell us who Kooley High is and where you all come from?
Kooley High: Kooley High is:
Tab-One from Burlington
Charlie Smarts from Greensboro
Rapsody from Snow Hill
Foolery from Raleigh
The Sinopsis from Brooklyn by way of NC.
Rhymehouse: How did you all come together to start making music on the campus of North Carolina State?
Kooley High: Like voltron son. Swinging a sword to skim the fat of wackness. Each of us had different styles and met at NCSU via a love for Hip Hop music through the H2O (Hip Hop Organization).
Rhymehouse: Charlie Smarts and Tab-One-- You started H20 (Hip Hop Organization) on campus. Why did you want to start an organization like this? What did you all do? How did the students respond to the REAL elements of hip hop?
Charlie/Tab-One: To bring folks together that liked Hip Hop in all its elements and wanted to have fun. Students responded with support. There were packed houses for most of our events from battles, to parties, to release shows. They couldnt get enough.
Rhymehouse: What does Kooley High as a group bring to hip hop that there isn't enough of?
Kooley High: Dope Beats. Dope Rhymes. Different perspectives. Smiles. Head nods. Fun. Thought. Flavor. Stuff like that.
Rhymehouse: Rapsody-- A lot of fans say that great Female MCs are extinct. What do you think about that bold statement?
Rapsody: "Say whaaaaat?' lol! I guess hip hops really dead, too. Female MCs are just as much alive and kicking as hip hop! Only those who still think INSIDE the box and not OUT of the box think that females are 6 feet under, feet up. Im here...Jean Grae is here....MC Lyte is still doin it hard...and there are more dope females out there rockin the mic. Dont let tv and radio define hip hop. No, its not delivered at your door in a pretty box with a bow..you gotta look for it (for the time being anyway...im comin along with my other ladies...lol)..but we are here and we are very much doin the damn thang!!! Dope rhymes, dope flows....you ain't know?!
Rhymehouse: Rapsody-- Do you think it's possible for a female MC to get her shine without selling the "sex" side?
Rapsody: Most def! "Sexy" comes in many different forms other than "butt naked, rump shakin". My flow is sexy, yo! lol! Im doin my thang thang in my own way...that makes me respectable and something my niece can look up to me and be proud of me for. And I get much love from the females who appreciate someone showing the other side of a "sexy, strong, dope female emcee". Talent sells itself it you put it out there. Im a leader, not a follower. I have so much more to offer and market other than my "physical assets' and it will and does work. Shine on!
Rhymehouse: Tab-One + Charlie Smarts-- What are one another's greatest strengths? How do each of you fill in the weak gaps for one another in the studio and/or on stage?
Charlie/Tab-One: Strengths: Steeeez, personality, delivery, vocab, swagger, confidence....the rest speaks for itself!
Weaknesses: Ummm...there are none. Duh.
Rhymehouse: What was the inspiration surrounding the Summer Sessions EP?
Kooley High: The need to create and get it out to the world! Yall need the Kool in your life. Giving is living, son! How else would we be doing this interview right now? Ya dig?!
Rhymehouse: How did you hook up with 9th Wonder and what do you think he brings to the Kooley High table?
Kooley High: We all hooked up with the incredible 9th Wonder through H2O, the hip hop organization at NC State. And he brings DOPE BEATS and WISDOM of the GAME to the table.
Rhymehouse: What's the difference between the two producers you use-- Foolery and Sinopsis-- what does each one bring sonically to Kooley High?
Kooley High: Ebony and Ivory! lol! One is hot as hell and one is coooooold as ice! Foolery is the head bangin, hard hittin side of the kool. And Sinopsis stays on his kool, sexy, smooth steez.
Rhymehouse: If Hip Hop isn't about the cars, clothes, money, and woman (like a majority of our youth thinks)-- What is it truly about?
Tab, Rap, Charlie: It's about LIFE!!! Whatever YOU do, dream, think, see, smell, taste etc. It gives the people something to rock to, inspires them to make a change, relaxation, motivation...etc.
Foolery: Hip hop IS about cars, clothes, money, and women. however, it is also about everything else that relates to the human experience. i love bravado, but you can't base you're whole steez off of gangster movies or the few videos that "music" tv stations actually play these days. that whole game is all in all unoriginal and its usually not that interesting.
Rhymehouse: All of you-- What ONE record would you HAVE to grab from your collection if there was a fire?
Kooley High:
Tab: Midnight marauders (Tribe Called Quest)
Charlie: If my ipod was burned already...I would grab Doggystyle, by Snoop Doog!
Rap: Reasonable Doubt (Jay-Z)
Foolery: Blackout (Red and Meth)
Sinopsis: College Dropout (kanye)
Rhymehouse: What's next for Kooley High as a group? Any other group projects/solo projects we can look out for?
Kooley High: We have a Kooley Lp coming 4th quarter 08! Marketing the Kooley Brand of course, with dope tees, and other merchandise. A gang load of solo projects, and joint ventures with the Academy. Aaaaand we're starting a record label, M.E.C.C.A records! look out!
Rhymehouse: What does hip hop mean to each of you?
Charlie: Hip hop is the way I do my thugg thizzle.
Tab: Hip hop to me is like a box of chocolates, you never know which rhyme you'll get, or which beat you'll get, until youve taken off the packaging and bump that! And its creativity...and thats why im down with that shit!
Rap: hip hop to me is that brown suga love! Ya dig?! My best friend til the end! I can tell her anything...and shell neva judge me. hip Hop is freedom and its fun!
Foolery: hip hop is music and so much more. when i am blessed to experience something beautiful and brilliant, it makes me feel like my life is realer than it really is. like im living in a scene from a movie. i know that is an oxymoron but that is the only way i can describe it.

Former rival endorses 'extraordinary' Obama
By David Usborne in New York
Saturday, 22 March 2008
Barack Obama received a significant boost in his hunt for the Democratic presidential nomination yesterday with a formal endorsement from Bill Richardson, who bowed out of the race in January.
The announcement by Mr Richardson came on a day when Mr Obama's campaign was distracted by revelations of breaches of his confidential passport files at the State Department.
Later yesterday, evidence emerged that the files of Hillary Clinton, Mr Obama's rival, and John McCain, the Republican nominee, had also been accessed without authorisation.
For Senator Clinton, who lags behind the Illinois senator in the race for delegate and superdelegate numbers ahead of the party's convention in June, the move by the Governor of New Mexico is a hard blow. It represented a stunning switch of loyalty as he previously served in her husband's White House as a UN ambassador and as the energy secretary.
Mr Richardson, who some see as a possible running mate in November, is Hispanic and could bolster Mr Obama's support among latin voters, with whom he has so far been at a disadvantage. His siding with Mr Obama may encourage other still-uncommitted superdelegates to follow him. Because primary voting has been so close, it is the superdelegates who are likely to decide the race.
"I believe he is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime leader that can bring our nation together and restore America's moral leadership in the world," Mr Richardson said before appearing alongside Mr Obama at a rally yesterday in Portland, Oregon.
Mr Richardson made clear he had been swayed partly by the speech on race relations delivered on Monday by Mr Obama. "Earlier this week, an extraordinary American made an historic speech," he told the loudly cheering crowd. "As a Hispanic American, I was particularly touched."
A formal investigation was opened yesterday into how three employees at the State Department on three occasions – most recently a week ago – improperly accessed the passport files of Mr Obama. The inquiry was announced by the Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice. "I told him that I was sorry, and I told him that I myself would be very disturbed if I learned somebody had looked into my passport," she told reporters. "We are very concerned about this."
Officials said that two of the three workers involved had been sacked and the other disciplined. The furore yesterday evoked memories of a similar breach of Bill Clinton's passport files when he was running for the White House in 1992. That led to a three-year investigation that ended with no criminal charges being filed.
State Department officials said that the passport files of Mrs Clinton and Senator McCain had also been breached. The Clinton file was opened in the summer by a trainee. The breach of the McCain files was committed, however, by one of three disciplined in the Obama case.
However, Mrs Clinton's campaign team was more concerned that Mr Richardson's move does not trigger a broader flight of superdelegates – including the former candidate John Edwards and also Al Gore – to Mr Obama's camp.

I Slow Flows Y'all To Death
Is anyone else still feeling this song? Like seriously this shit is crazy. Beat is great, lyrics on point but favorite part is the chorus. Jay-Z sample & the stratching is live. Hell the whole album is nice....
GO!
[Evidence]
Step it up...
Hear me, feel the funk, yeah
I can smoke a whole eighth in a spliff
Some call that a problem but I call it a gift
Hit the clutch then I start to shift
Turn it up - light my dutch then start to drift
Lost Angel, Westside rider
The official, four-oh-five Friday, sound provider
Underground hitman, hard to hire
Unsigned death threats written in typewriters
Poetic, I'm that type of writer
Got that "Don't call me, I'll call you" type of fire
Fake it 'til you make it, you're such a good liar
Headliners used to not make the flyer
Four-oh-one K, and I don't mean retire
Chase loops, still war all day, I'm in denial
Peace ain't the word to play - it's violence
I ain't have shit good to say, so here's silence...
[Chorus: cuts by DJ Revolution]
"I slow flows y'all to death" - Jay-Z
[Evidence]
Yeah, don't stress, emotions rest
'Til they wanna see my best, as good as it gets
Don't hold weak cards, don't hold regrets
Players, don't change past the seventh inning stretch
Learned from vets and they ain't pet doctors
They the type they arrest in "Clockers"
We sellin out these operas, and don't mean sing
I mean opera house stage we rockin
C-A, all day
Reppin it, party time, excellent
It's perfection kid, I'm not affectionate
That's what my last girl said, too much estrogen
(I'm in trouble) Yeah, that ain't PC
But sometimes that ain't E-V (what can I do) I just feel that way
Right now I'm on my J-O, issue payroll
Speak in codes, 'til we reach another day
[Chorus]
[Evidence]
{Ay light another one man~!}
I used to be Ice-T "Reckless" (RECKLESS)
Wild out like I'd never see braekfast
Nightmares, tiein dreamcatchers
Tryin to run breathless, outta control
I don't give orders, I make suggestions
Then walk away! I've learned my lessons (Ev have patience)
It's simple, they neglect it
Win at chess, still lose at checkers
That ain't weakness, it's a death wish
Choke 'em out; another off the checklist
I came too far not to be respected
And drove too far to hear they closed the guestlist
(You gotta be kiddin me) A new rain out the smokin bar
Umbrellas up, these cats are dogs
And just because it barely ever hails in L.A.
They say I can't reign the game and hail from H.A.?
They crazy~!
[Chorus]
[PMD]
When five-oh roll, they say what's the M.O.
Another rapper was hit, by Mr. Slow Flow
"By Mr. Slow Flow" {*scratched*}
[Ev] That's what they call me this year
