Mini-Review
Also I'll drop two songs off it but you should still buy it. I prefer Evolution Fight over this but I need another listen to really say something like that. But CYNE is starting to diversify their music from other indie groups with the same sound. Their lyrical growth is evident while the production has became more original and creative. This album is easily one of the best this year and will probably be one of the most underrated as CYNE is criminally unknown and often flies under many radars. The favorite tracks on this album are The Runaway, Money Parade, Pretty Black Future, Fuzzy Logic, Piano's On Fire & Radiant Cool Boy. All of those are great and the entire album shines so it comes down to person preference on the standout tracks. I strongly recommend you copping this album..

The Leak 32: Fan's Choice!!!

No the songs aren't name that but they were chosen by fans.

Congrats to Kyle Connaro & Ricardo Santiago again....

The Leak #32: "Going Nowhere" & "Dolla" Produced by Precize

This is what the e-mails of the two winners said....

From Kyle Connaro:

Tell the story from the point of view of a record (Vinyl) trying to get love in the huge era of CD's (90's) and how difficult it is for you to do so and the struggles of being quality but overlooked. Then transition to the same concept with CD's and mp3s and downloads...
From Ricardo Santiago:

I would like the next concept to be .... You as a dollar bill and what goes on as you pass hands... From drug dealers all the way to the big dogs in congress. Just an Idea...
Both are produced by Precize.....

Verse Of The Day: Party Over Here

Artist: Atmosphere
Album: Sad Clown Bad Fall 10
Song: Party Over Here

[Verse 1]
And there she blows, slip into the bathroom
Lock the door, sniffing like a vacuum
And I know that it ain't nobodies business
But last time she was in there for twenty minutes
Her roommate Ruth sitting at that booth
Sucking on that wine like she's gonna find the truth
Just wait 'till her lips turn blood red
She'll fall in love with whoever, 'nuff said
And that's Johnson
He's always on some agro frat bro gangsta stompin'
Acts like he's the only white boy from Compton
If real G's show up, the attitude is gone
Jill forgot that they agreed no coke
Cause Jacks on the couch passed out with his mouth open
Led Zepplin, Stairway To Heaven
Stay in step cause anyone can have a weapon
Just like Chad, real white trash
Short fuse quick to put his foot up your ass
Heads up, that's his wife Rebecca
And I advise you to try not to smile at her
And lets all have deep conversation
Alcohol and dialogue, perfect combination
Throw in a cokehead or a pothead
Just can't stop them thought provoking topics
Look somebody puked in the fridge
Ain't that great, it's where the beer lives
The music's too loud to hear the fire alarm
And I'ma set a fire if you don't change the song
C'mon
Nothing but love
Yeah there was a party, many people came through
Standing on the wall, cause that's what I do
Small-talk shot dialogue push snooze
Defense mechon cause I got a lotta shoes (issues)
The moment got stolen by a lady in red
With a campaign slogan about the straight edge
But her sentence is broken
Her focus a fraction
The ash on her Camels at an inch and a half
And her voice starts to crack
And her head starts to twitch
And Ant looks at me like, “What's up with this bitch?”
I can tell by the stains and the way she complains
That pills ain't to blame and it ain't cocaine
Shes had too, too, too much coffee
Nate must have drank a lot of Black Label
Tryin' to play the Rottwieler under the table
Now light another cigarette off of the stove
Both ya'll drunk, which one of ya'll drove?
These people need to stay off the sauce
I'm shocked that the neighbors ain't called the cops
The music, the drunk, the fights out front
And half of these kids ain't even near twenty one
Who's party is this, who's home is this?
How'd I get here man, I do grownup shit
Let me know when your games are all done
Cause I can't fuck with these games you call fun

Verse Of The Day:My Block[Nitty Remix]

Album:Better Dayz
Artist:Tupac
Song:My Block[Nitty Remix]

[3rd Verse]
And I can't help but wonder why, so many young kids had to die
Caught strays from AK's and the driveby
Swollen pride and homicide, don't coincide
Brothers cry for broken lives, mama come inside
Cause our block is filled with danger
Used to be a close knit community but now we're all cold strangers
Time changes us to stone them crack pipes
All up and down the block exterminating black life
But I can't blame the dealers
My mama's welfare check has brought the next man chrome wheels
Shit's real, I know ya feel, my tragedy
A single mother with a problem child, daddy free
Hanging out picking up game, sipping cheap liquor
Gamin the hoochies hoping I can get to sleep with her
It's a man's world, staying strapped
Fantasies of a nigga living phat, but held back
Pipe dreams can make the night seem hopeless
Wide eyed and losing focus... on my block

Verse Of The Day: Fire

Artist: Elzhi
Album: Europass
Song: Fire

Verse One:
What I put down in the sound coil is Crown Royal
It's like I dug in the ground soil and found oil
I'm known to terrorize, paralyze a pair of guys or prepare to rise off the land, sea, air, and skies
Snatch his heart, but spare his eyes
To show him why I'm great, violate, and I annihilate
My punchlines ain't just tossin' jabs, they often grab to put you in a Boston Crab
Caution, they say I'm psychosomatic in the attic
My automatic stick to my clothes like static
-cling on, better kiss the fist while the ring's on
On the winning hand, four aces, now a king's drawn
What, how you want it, head or gut?
Let it cuts from the machete, you're not ready
Check, 1-2 and you don't stop
For niggas frontin', I get you open till the buttons on your coat pop

Shawn Jackson - First Of All (Review)

To be honest till I heard this album. I've never heard of Shawn Jackson but thankfully I checked out this album. An unexpecting surprise of dope music. This album contains majority of bangers & head-nodders. Shawn Jackson is a very nice MC has tons of talent that is flexed all over this album.

The starter of the album really impressed me as it set the tone as if the album is a concert and the whole album carries that live instrumental vibe. First Of All... is produced by a slew of relatively unknown producer but they all deliver a banger for Shawn Jackson to rip over. The album flows nicely but can get bland if you don't pay absolute attention especially to catch Shawn's tricky wordplay. I couldn't pen-point a number one standout track but the song "Backstage" instantly grabbed my attention. The soul sample followed by a banging beat from Newman then Shawn just went in to rip it down. Besides Backstage theres really no standout on the album. But that really doesn't mean much when the entire album is on par and flow nicely to make one of the better albums this year. But I think it'll grow in popular if it gets time to settle in people's mind.

It's definitely least checking out this album you won't be disappointed but mad cause this album is too short meaning just as the album gets good you left with silence so this album really never had a chance to reach a high point. But besides that their isn't a flaw or noticable flaw in this album. So atleast check it out...

Heres some samples in forms of video...

Shawn Jackson "Feelin' Jack"

Shawn Jackson "Countdown"

Shawn Jackson (ft. Ty of Ty & Kory) "Soopafly"

Verse Of The Day: Citronella

Artist: Aesop Rock
Album: None Shall Pass
Song: Citronella

The mobile infantry is so postal
Coast into the quotient provoking the local Pistol Pete
Choking his liberty and justice quotas and cloaking his folk in smithereens;
Smokey little pile of bloody pulp and co-dependencies
Dopey, no surrender, bender in effect
Sole defenders of the longest night New York had never slept
And there were jumping jacks and whistlers over Christmas
Like Rockets From The Crypt spilling the festive morning beverage of your preference
I step in Hog Heaven, stony, with no weapons
Pissing on teleprompters, selling megaphones to hecklers
Who broadcast 80 million versions of the sermon
For that one indisputable masterpiece before the curtains
Pale, Arcadian moon, high-definition, flat plasma
IMAX, city-wide transfer
Artificial Einstein-Rosen out the tenement
Ease into the "Xanadu", let it hammer the tension out
I'm talking cool, calm, dominant phenomenal
Monitor face to the wall opposite
U.F.O.'s and locusts sing the same old song
While the Weathermen get retarded as the day is long

My favorite verse from the entire album, None Shall Pass. I've been bumping that again a lil lately. Also I found out not pacing your music listening habits, the music would feel watered down. So remember pace your self. Kinda like a beginner at sex....lol

Big Pooh - With You (prod. 9th Wonder) [Video]

off Big Pooh's upcoming album Rapper's Delight!

Pooh is going out on his own like Phonte did with Foreign Exchange and those countless amounts of classic guest verses. Big ups to the whole LB fam.

Verse Of The Day: Stairway to Heaven

Artist: Hell Razah & Blue Sky Black Death
Album: Razah's Ladder
Song: Stairway to Heaven

[Hell Razah]
The first step on Razah's Ladder it's like abracabra
The last laughter that came after
The last Revelations chapter
My flow capture, the mindstate of a slave master
Adohn, Omish, redneck cracker
Watch the project church pastor
Who be worse than a purse snatcher
This the curse of computer hackers
Download it, let the music scatter
I'm the future of the streets y'all
I'm Total Recall, you hear the beat y'all
Yeah you got a chip in ya head big as a meat ball
I sneak into City Hall, tell the mayor "It's on"
We need to call that energy on
George Bush be Damian Thorn, until the day that I'm gone
They come back in the alien form
Book of Daniel, beware of the whores, we bear arms
Like Huey P, truthfully ain't no unity
I'm underground like where Osama at
So light a Cuban cigar, sip some Cognac
I be a heart attack to wack rap artist's tracks
You just an art of stack, A&R's kick back
Most of my fanbase hate Bush but love Kush
The White House'll get ambushed
You shittin' son? And makin' them Pamper's
We creepin' on the movement like a stealth, born Panther
Matter of fact, you lookin' more better with dancers
I'm in the Pentagon lookin' for answers
Found out ya best rapper had him a Phantom
No not the car in the back with the beautiful broad
He had an old God writtin' his bars
I'm the bomb, won't butcher 'em
If I kill, I'ma kill him with charm
Give 'em an endin' how they finished Saddam
This the black Ariel Sharon
My sixteen's like the holy Quran
But I'm Brooknam 'til I lose an arm

Album: Along Came the Chosen
Song: Final Four

[Reks]
Enter my tea party, mind ya manners
My fingertips flip more alphabets than Vanna
Raisin' the banner, count em' sixteen, it seems y'all MCs forget
We got to have it but we can't have it yet
After the Reks number seventeen
Follow, I swallow and spit bobbles
Like the hollow tips, shatter ya dreams a mass lotto
Northern border slaughter runnin' up
B-O-S-T-O in the state to blow the whole planet when we flow
Skydivin' off the Prudential like I'm demented
Cause I chill with all these drunk MCs who schizophrenic
Reks and Eso mix like Terry Glenn and Bledsoe
Pass complete, E how the rest go

Elzhi Featuring Ayah - The Leak

Off his upcoming album "The Preface" dropping august 12.

Its fire as usual!

maliz says: My partner got the jump on me with this joint. But though I'll post it I definitely won't listen or download. I wanna wait to the album come out...But from the little snip I heard its dope...definitely pick up Preface....

Verse Of The Day

Artist:Kanye West
Song:Roses
Album:Late Registration

[1st Verse]

I know it's past visiting hours
But can I please give her these flowers
The doctor dont wanna take procedures
He claim my heart can't take the anastesia
It'll send her body into a seizure
The little thing by the hospital bed, it'll stop beeping,
Hey chick, im at a lost for words
What do you say at this time?
Remember when I was nine?
Tell her everything gone be fine?
But i'd be lying, the family crying
They want her to live, and she trying
I'm argueing like what kind of doctor can we fly in
You know the best medicine go to people thats paid,
If Magic Johnson got a cure for A.I.D.'s
And all the broke muthafuckers past away
You tellin me if my grandma was in the N.B.A.
Right now she'd be ok?
But since she was just a secretary
Working for the church
For thirty five years
Things sposed to stop right here
My grandfather tryin to pull it together, he strong,
Thats where I get my confidence from
I asked the nurse "did you do the research?"
She ask me, "can you sign some t-shirts?"
Bitch is you smokin reefer?
You dont see that we hurt
But still...

Don't Sleep On David Orpheus

That Anita Baker sample is dope as hell

Dude is nice!

Verse Of The Day: Speed Racin'

Artist: Little Brother f/ Chaundon, Skyzoo
Album: Separate But Equal
Song: Speed Racin'

[Phonte]
Uh, Phontigga still sick with the homonyms
I say what up to your mans and your moms and 'nem
A lotta niggas wanna take my place
Deep down, get the fuck out my space like Tom and 'nem
I'm up in Topshop wanderin, how the game got fucked up
Sat back and assessed it - niggas really think
That if they ain't been arrested
Shot or locked up, we ain't interested
That ain't all true, and that ain't all you
And if it ain't, ain't no need to lie about it
Just cause a nigga got the skills to sell dope
Don't mean he got the same skills to rap about it
I came to rep the true article
Makin every word, every verse spill like it was a part of you
I never rhyme about no robbin or thievin
And still got you niggas bobbin and weavin
Like after school, so fuck haters, and the naysayers
On the low, niggas is probably eighth graders
Cats that won't play us cause they play favourites
In the long term, on my own terms I'll make it

My Thoughts
The classic from Big Punisher one if not the best lyricist to ever live. Pun was a beast and no body fucking with him cept Big L other then that nope. This album has so many point were I was like WOAH from something Pun said. He was on point throughout the album and even stood against one of the best lyricist LIVING, Black Thought but Black could touch Pun. The songs that got me to listen was a combo of his single, Still Not A Player & the Fat Joe assisted joint, Twinz (Deep Cover '98). Thats when I heard the Little Italy line which was highlk talked about when speaking on Pun. My favorites songs are the three fore mentioned songs, Beware, You Ain't A Killer, Caribbean Connection, Capitial Punishment & Not A Player. I consider this a classic (classic is purely opinion based) and recommend everyone check it if you haven't.

The Leak 31: Sublime produced by Precize

This is another Weekly Leak from Mickey Factz. This is a creative combination from the thoughts of 2 lucky e-mailers, Kyle Conarro and Ricardo Santiago. Congratz to those two...

and this is what Mickey had to say about the song..

"Sublimes go undetected untill you look 4 em"

PRECIZE. A subliminal message is a message embedded in another medium, designed to pass below the limits of perception. PRECIZE. These messages are unrecognizable but in certain situations can affect the subconscious. PRECIZE.
This is certified banger from Mickey. This guy make my weeks go by so smoothly. Easily one of the best emerging rappers as far creative. Also he gives the fan what we want by dropping new music and even letting us give a thought or two. Dude totally cool in my book. And the some rude rappers ...should take a note from Mickey and others who respect the fans and know without them you would go no where....

anyway here..

Verse Of The Day: Vibin

Artist: Athletic Mic League
Album: Sweats and Kicks
Song: Vibin'

[Buff1]
You call that genius? It's more like the stroke of ignorance
And I'll be more than happy to fix those broken sentences
The only problem is (what); they're blowing in the wind
And you can't pick up the pieces cause you don't know where to begin
Start with that main organ a few inches below your chin
You hear a beaten but you don't know what coast you're listening
It says -- "Fella you must destroy
Those thoughts that got you running around like your mama don't love you boy"
I'm just keeping it real, but real to me -
Is not a real emcee but a real human being, and
We do the things that seem to get applause
It's called hip-hop, and we rockin for the cause
Not the kind of rock that fiends abuse -
The kind of rock that make your speakers move
What side you claim, you don't need to choose
We all the same, all my people groove
Cause when it's all said and done we dot the i's and cross t's
Y'all gonna know this cat they call ???
Make the names household, y'all gon see
But for now just vibe with me

In The Summer..(Summer) In City!!!

I know I'm mad late at posting this but this video is dope for so many reasons. But just watch and you'll see also new Murs dropping tommorrow and S1 (SFP)'s solo album been pushed back for digital release of Aug 5th. I'm highly pissed since I was bout to cop & review on amazon. Oh Well....

I am Laser Gun Carrying Milky Way Master...............

Verse Of The Day: Prayer

Artist: DMX
Album: It's Dark and Hell Is Hot
Song: Prayer

I come to you hungry and tired
you give me food and let me sleep
I come to you weak
you give me strength and that's deep
you call me a sheep and lead me to green pastures
only asking that I keep the focus in-between the chapters
You give me the word and only ask that I interpret
And give me the eyes that I may recognize the serpent
You know I ain't perfect, but you'd like me to try
Unlike the devil who just wants me to lie
till I die
Lord why is it that,I go through so much pain
All I saw was black, all I felt was rain
I come to you because its you who knows
you showed me that everything was black because my eyes were closed
You gave me the light and let me bask in your glory
So it was only right that when you ask for this story
I put it together to do our dogs some good
our dogs being, brothers and sisters in the hood
Plenty of times you sent help my way,but i hid
and I remember once you held me close, but i slid
There was something that I just had to see
that you wanted me to see so I can be what you wanted me to be
And I think I've seen it,but I don't feel the same
Matter of fact I know I've seen it,I can feel the change
and it's strange almost got me beating down your door
But I have never known a love like this before
It's a wonderful feeling to get away from the pain
and up under the ceiling I get away from the rain
And the strain that I feel when I'm here is gone
I know real so I wipe away the tears with a song
and I almost lost faith when you took my man Monty,Paso, and Jay's brother Dan
and I fear that what I'm saying won't be heard until I'm gone
but it's all good, cause I really didn't expect to live long
So if it takes for me to suffer, for my brother to see the light
Give me pain till I die,but please Lord treat him right

That Would Be Dope....

RIP John Lennon
(A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality. )
Imagine......

If Hip-Hop would finally unify to create a unstoppable force representing the middle to lower income of the community trying to make a change for the better.

If ALL Hip-Hop stars would give back to their community that help make them the person they are instead of the mindless spending of millions of dollars on cars and jewelry.

If people stopped over-hyping Nas' latest album. Would that be the end of the world?

If everything Nas did regardless how shitty it is wasn't over hyped as the best thing ever.

TIMEOUT!!!..Seriously Im not a Nas fan but nor am I a hater. I like It Was Written and a hand full of other stuff from him mostly featuring AZ. But his last album was okay but not great. Dead Prez? Public Enemy? Immortal Tech? All of them been preaching that same ish Nas duplicated and did it better or on par. Isn't any thing new plus if it wasn't Nas and somebody else used the same lyrics and beats it wouldn't have all this speculation around it.

Continue....

If Che Grand would release that album

If Danny! wasn't one of the coolest artist I've talked to....(Dude is real cool)

If College wasn't so expensive though many called it a major stepping stone to success

If GZA didn't embarrass himself by bringing up all beef. Seriously GZA...i like you music but dissing Soulja (17) and 50 who diss ppl just for fun is a bad look man....

If people supported the Dilla family by actually waiting and purchasing his material

If I would have made it to that Tanya Morgan concert. I would be so happy!

If Buff1's new album wasn't in the top 5 so far. But it is....:-)

Just imagina folks cause use you brain and have pride in knowledge not this superficial things cause in the end they can take your processions and other things but can't take your mind...

Verse Of The Day: In This

Artist: (Oh No f/) Murs
Album: Exodus Into Unheard Rhythms
Song: In This

[Murs]
I be on kamikaze missions, hittin tracks head on
For those who dared to disrespect this culture, that I bled on
I'm headstrong, I make rash decisions
While I'm spittin pure salt that'll crash your vision
You got the game on lock, then I smash your prison
I make empires crumble when I clash with rhythm
Your whole group straight fruit with no passion in 'em
Yes cash is venom, and we all been affected
But I made the antidote, when I wrote this record
You shouldn't have to be broke, so that folks respect it
You can still be a joke, with the dopest necklace
Just {shittin} on the talent that, you've been blessed with
Who the {fuck} am I to invoke the message
Haven't been to that level but I hope I'm tested
When I get there I hope I don't, choke and wreck it
So I can go out dope and, most respected

Enough....

Enough with the preaching for now. I'll drop some knowledge on ya'll little later this week. Well This is start of a new week and looks to be a good one. Murs & 9th's 3rd album, Sweet Lord is dropping (and currently leaking). Also Dallas' own S1 from Strange Fruit Project's solo album Music Box will be out digitally. And there are some other release I don't wanna jinx but will keep my fingers crossed.

Well folks hope you had a nice weekend. I did. Dark Knight was crazy. I bought me a ps3, went to a party but unfortunately i missed the chance to see Tanya Morgan but maybe next time if there ever be one....

OH and "Dilla Ghost Doom"'s Sniper Lite has released and I'll definitely be buying it in a hour or two. Everyone support Dilla's family you gotta understand that they had a plan to release his music but people leaking it outta control real disrespectful like. Support Dilla Family!!

Lets start off the week on a happy note....

Ghostface Killah ft. Slick Rick, RZA & Raekwon - Sun

Beats, Rhymes, Blog, Tap Yo Broad, I'm doing it all better....

Those who have talent beyond MC'ing are often looked over cause they venture out further then some would like them to. Example many hate the fact that Phonte sings and covers 80 songs. Well I respect the fact that he doesn't stick to one lane but he drives in two and dominate them equally.
Some rappers like produce as well as MCs. They most likely started both around same time cause producing your own music is alot cheaper.

The ability to do more then just usual multi is what a lot of artist are missing. Some just rap for the sake of rapping. The thing that makes 45% percent of the stuff out sound alike is the message and how it's told. Some stick to the simple punchline "I spit fire like a stove" setup to tell you that their better. But that gets boring where the creativity?

While there has been a emerging number of talented young MCs there are those who steal the spotlight by copying them. Now with that said I respect every and i mean EVERY artist out no matter their pros & cons. But I am entitled to my opinion. Now I know first hand rap can be very differcult and the fans, bloggers & critiques are even more difficult to please. Some fans where see Jay-Z make another RD then let him express his current creativity. This were the multi-talented thing comes in.

If a artist that does more then rap make and pursue singing or some relatively un-Hip Hop associated then they are selling out.

My point is that too many of us hip-hop enthusiast are scare of change so we complain when it happens. And we don't like the thought of something different. Rappers gotta be this hard body guy from Brooklyn that got a whole notebook of punchlines. Think different and don't be scared of change. I must admit approaching something that I'm totally familar with is frightening but use good or bad as a learning experience. Hope this all made sense.......:(

Verse Of The Day: It's Your World

Artist: Common f/ 'POPS'
Album: Be
Song: It's Your World (Part 1 & 2)

Night Blows, Stoves don't work, Hoes at work
A warrior, so I wear 'em on my shirt
Wish I was free as Che was,I spend a day buzzed
Trippin on heights, wishin for nights in different flavors
The age of Kane and Big Daddy, shown by the caddies
Uncles named Larry, that never really grabbed me
My mother gave birth but she really never had me
Left to the hood to play daddy
Raised by niggaz named Butch through the bay bay
With waists so they weigh they status on the streets
License plates that say they, motto This is Chicago in the hay day
Similiar to Good Times, I guess that I was Jay Jay
A skinny nigga, young girls with penny figures
So many niggaz, stacked upon each other
It's the black upon each other that we love so much
Wonder how many of us, these drugs gonna touch
Used to gangbang, ain't really thug that much
Rather have some thick broads then the dutch to clutch
Went to school in Baton Rouge for a couple of years
My college career got downed with a couple of beers
Came back home, now I gotta pay back loans
Same nigga, same block, same shit they own
Only thing different, quicker, they click that chrome
In my defense, yo I had to hit that zone
Man to man, I'm good workin with my hands
My generation never understood workin for the man
And, of bein broke I ain't a fan
Now I stand in the same spot, as my old man
My life I planned not to be on this corner
I still wanna see California
But this is my world

Verse Of The Day: Heard It All Before

Artist: Ghostface Killah
Album: Hidden Darts: Special Edition
Song: Heard it Before *

[Ghostface Killah]
I'm the Mighty Joe Young of rap
Live off of mighty gold, tongue and yack
Ya'll be amazed how I brought it back
Two porsche's, big ass ranch with twelve horses
Scarface breeze when I speak, the all bosses
Plus the jewelry so truck, the cuffs get you nauseous
Two years, been through like six divorces
Now the talking put my business in the street, but
I'm like cement, I rock when I step
Kill music with no hands and leave with no weed stuff
Like my bitches better when they wore Reebok's
See hot, let's have a toast, I verbally bomb deacons
Have the whole church praying for Ghost
When we speak we give sermons, and switch our names over permits
The big shit, you might get burned with
God-body fly automobiles with grills
Two thousand, fifteen, nigga, we can take off the wheel
A Georget Jetson, so ya'll sit still
Chill, peace to Queens, so the God Allah reel's reel
It's the takeover, breaks over, make something
For funny ass package, who want, and a cake over
Monster bangels, bojangles got the forty cocked from all angles
Fuck a rope nigga, my gold chain'll hang you
Danish darts, language arts, slanger banger you
Punk motherfucka...

Verse Of The Day: L.A.

Artist: Murs
Album: Murray's Revenge
Song: L.A.

[Murs]
I'm from L dot A dot Californ-I-A hot
Days got shade let me take you 'round the way
Lot of out-of-towners can't handle this city
Where you wear the wrong color and it can get tricky
But that was eighty-six and, things done changed
We a lot mo' evolved with the way that we bang
Not the rips and the dawgs, man the smog might kill ya
But you ain't gotta worry if you stayin North of Wilshire
Don't be scared of Crenshaw, the Slausson super-mall
Or Earl's Hot Dogs man you gotta do it y'all, c'mon
Come to the hood where we do the most good
Magic Johnson be ownin everything like he should
Lynnwood, Long Beach, Hawthorne, Gazine
From the towers in Watts, to the hills of Pasadena
The home of the traffic and that gangbang culture
And I hope the way we do the damn thang don't insult ya

Favorite from Murs. This album is so dope and look for the spotlight on it. Anyway new Murs album out next week....ill drop the song off it in a sec...

After The Love Has Gone....

What will you do?

Will you run and hide in the shadows?

Will you search the truth? Or will you ignore it?

Will you become a hypocrite?

Which ever one you do you can't hide the fact that music is in the eyes of the beholder. Your love or interest isn't dying you are.

The music seems bland and nothing stands out to you anymore as if your heard it all before. Why maybe this is the extinction of the musical artist. Or is it just you?

What can you do to counter your musical illness?

Verse Of The Day: The Love

Artist: A Tribe Called Quest
Album: The Love Movement
Song: The Love

For my crews bomb, where my peoples still at
If they call me and I don't call back
For weeks at a time, love is still intact
Let's be big about it, and realize the fact
Love it, when the underdog comes through
Ghetto revalizer, overthrow these rules
Love it, when I get spared another day
Used to drink zay while my niggas weighed yay
Love it, when I gain control over this
Life is really bigger than the rolly on my wrist
Got a twist to this shit and the answer's inside
Sho as the world's small and the missisipi's wide
Had to rock a vest over unchoosed fest
Now I see people rockin' theirs in jets
Love it when my loved one really hold me down
Brand new flight and I'm takin' off ground

The Leak #30...Its Mickey!

(Von Pea (of Tanya Morgan & Mickey Factz)

Yup history has been made...TWO upcoming hip-hop artist/s come together for a song of epic.......oh kidding but yup Mickey Factz & Tanya Morgan. Though we're missing Ilyas on this track it still delivers a punch. I knew after seeing this picture we'd have a TM/Factz collabo....Shouts to Don

ANNNND!!

Mickey had the idea of re-creating the classic "Ebony & Ivory" to make a modern classic about two kids struggling with racism with the Grammy Award winning singer, Robin Thicke.
