Many young Samoans most likely do not even know the impact of the music they hear or video's they watch do to they mind-state because it's a very subtle change. Dress like this or your not cool. Talking like this would make you sound more hip to whats going on.
While thinking more on this, I've come to the conclusion that even though theres is most definitely a major influence on the youth from the Hip-Hip community, It is entirely from a glorified view-point. Nothing they(The Youth) see is a proper representation of Hip-Hop, But rather their interpretation of what mainstream feeds them.
While the Samoan youth still hold the values of the Fa'a Samoa, Hip-Hop has left it's mark. Whether that is a good thing or a bad is subject to debate, But hey whats wrong with a little flavor into the mix?....
Thats right my dude its good to see another uso who has a true understanding of hip hop.
